  • Any Nevadan who will be 18 on or before Election Day and is a U.S. citizen.

How do I register to vote?

I have a valid Nevada DMV-issued ID:

  • Register online at iwillvote.com.
  • Register in-person same-day during early voting and on Election Day with your Nevada DMV-issued ID or Tribal ID.

I do not have a Nevada DMV-issued ID or Tribal ID:

  • You may go in-person to a polling location and request a provisional ballot, which they must provide to you, to make your choice known. Note, some form of identification may be required to have your provisional ballot counted; please follow all instructions provided with your provisional ballot. Find your polling location at iwillvote.com

  • Yes, you merely need to update your mailing address to ensure your absentee ballot is mailed to your new address (assuming you meet all other voting eligibility requirements).

How do I vote?

  • There are three easy, convenient ways to vote in Nevada: voting by mail, voting early in-person, and voting on Election Day.
  • Voting by mail: Every actively registered Nevada voter will receive a vote-by-mail ballot in the mail before Election Day. Complete the ballot, seal the ballot in the official return envelope, carefully sign the envelope in the space provided, and return it in the mail or drop it off with the county clerk or in an official ballot drop box in your county. It must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Saturday after Election Day to be counted.
  • Voting early in-person: Nevada voters can vote early in-person. For the presidential preference primary, early voting begins 10 calendar days before the election and extends through the Friday before the primary. For the June primary election and the November general election, early voting begins on  the third Saturday before Election Day through the Friday before Election Day. See specific dates for the 2024 election cycle below. During this period, you can vote at any early voting location in your county. Note, some counties may not hold early voting on Sundays or holidays, please check the calendar on your county clerk’s website for details.
  • Voting on Election Day: voters in Nevada can also vote in-person at any voting center in their county the day of the Election.
