As Election Day Draws to a Close, Nevada State Democratic Party Urges All Nevadans to Vote, Stay in Line, and Immediately Report Any Issues

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada State Democratic Party released the following statement as Election Day draws to a close:

Today marks the most important midterm election in living memory, with our fundamental rights and freedoms at stake. NV Dems continues to urge all Nevadans to get to the polls and make their voices heard.

We remind all Nevadans that voting is your right. If you’re in line to vote when polls close at 7:00 PM PST, stay in line! Your vote will still be counted. If any voter encounters issues when attempting to vote, report the issue immediately to our voter protection hotline – (877) 959-DEMS (3367). Every voter has the right to cast their ballot without intimidation or suppression and staff are on hand to address concerns.

We also encourage voters to remember that Nevada allows for same-day voter registration. If registering for the first time, please take a current ID and proof of residency (lease agreement, utility bill, official mail) with you to the polls.

Our party is committed to defeating extremism by electing Democrats up and down the ballot. To help Nevadans as they vote, all of our recommended candidates in all 17 counties can be found at www.nvdems.com/voterguide.

There is too much on the line this election for any of us to sit on the sidelines. Join us in defending our state’s future by keeping Nevada blue!
