As Mike Pence continued to gaslight the American people at a dangerous rally in Boulder City, Nevada, he worked to frame this administration’s devastating failures as successes. While he characterized a cratering economy and deadly virus as a win, none other than Dan Rodimer was right by his side.
Pence couldn’t even correctly pronounce Rodimer’s name, but Dangerous Dan can’t help but gush over this administration’s failed coronavirus response. After months of failing to implement a national strategy to contain the virus, months of intentionally downplaying its severity, the Trump administration then ended talks with Congressional leaders about a second stimulus relief package, leaving Nevadans in the dust.
At each step, Dan Rodimer has been proudly spewing the same lies as Mike Pence and Donald Trump when it comes to the pandemic. Dangerous Dan led an in-person protest to intimidate Governor Sisolak into unsafely reopening Nevada, which got so out of hand that SWAT had to be called. He also regularly holds in-person campaign events that do not enforce social distancing or mask requirements.
Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Molly Forgey released the following statement:
“Nevadans know Dan is too dangerous for Congressional District 3, but we don’t know where he stands on issues affecting hardworking families the most. Now, with the Trump administration saying they’re done negotiating for more pandemic relief, voters of the Third District deserve to know where he stands. Is he going to actually stand up for Nevadans or he is going to continue to walk in lockstep with a President and Vice President who have shown they don’t care about getting relief for those who need it most?”
