Last week, the Nevada State Democratic Party was joined by Assemblywoman Rochelle Nguyen for the fifth installment of our Friday virtual town halls. Nguyen was joined by NV Dems Field Organizer Ashley Everett to talk about her campaign, to hear from the Democratic community and to answer Nevadans’ questions–from the work she’s doing to help her community get through the pandemic, to her legislative priorities if elected to another term, to the advice she gives other women of color running for office.
If you missed it, you can watch here:
Assemblywoman Rochelle Nguyen has called Nevada home for the last 20 years. She currently represents Assembly District 10 and was the first Democratic female Asian American Pacific Islander to join the legislature. She is running for a second term to serve the people of her Las Vegas community and to take their voice to Carson City. Nguyen is working to continue making progress on many everyday issues including raising wages for hardworking Nevadans, capping medical costs, increasing funding for schools, and protecting our public lands.
NV Dems began hosting virtual town halls every Friday afternoon last month with guests including NV Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro, candidate for SD-5 Kristee Watson, NV Dems Chair William McCurdy, and our Executive Director, Alana Mounce. Past episodes can be found here.
