Hardy supports Trump’s policies and regrets criticizing his sexist comments to Access Hollywood.
Yesterday Cresent Hardy admitted in an interview with CBS that: “[Trump’s] policies are my policies, and the things I would have fought for if I was back there [in Washington].” Hardy went on to add that the only thing that he regrets is that he judged Trump for his comments during an Access Hollywood taping in which Trump admitted to sexually assaulting women. “If I was back there, if I have any regret,” Hardy said, “is the fact that as an individual that I actually became a judge and jury on an issue that I should have left alone.”
Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Michael Soneff released the following statement:
“Cresent Hardy has finally admitted what we all knew to be true–he supports every one of the policies of this administration, including ending protection for people with pre-existing conditions, tax cuts for billionaires and corporations, and separating families. It is appalling that the only thing Cresent regrets is failing to support Trump when he admitted to sexually assaulting women. Hardy has not only made it clear that he will be a rubber-stamp for Trump in Washington, but that there is no line that Trump could cross that would cost him Hardy’s support. Nevadans deserve a representative who shares their values and will fight for them in Washington, and Cresent Hardy fails on all counts.”
