Wes Duncan is STILL Bragging About Being Endorsed by a Sexual Harasser

Republican attorney general candidate Wes Duncan is out with a new radio ad today, in which he campaigns on being endorsed by “sheriffs across Nevada,” including Storey County Sheriff Gerald Antinoro, who was found to have sexually harassed his employee and allegedly raped a woman.

Duncan continues to tout Antinoro’s endorsement of his candidacy on his campaign website and has been silent on the recent controversy surrounding his supporter, all for his own political gain. Antinoro is currently being sued by a former deputy after an independent investigation found that he sexually harassed her, and has received “numerous….more than 10” complaints to the county about his misconduct.

“Keeping us safe — that’s the job of Nevada’s next attorney general,” the ad asserts. We agree, which is why it’s appalling that Nevada’s current attorney general Adam Laxalt, to whom Duncan served as first deputy, has failed to keep Storey County women safe from a sexual predator like Antinoro, since Antinoro’s misconduct has been public knowledge since at least 2016.

Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Helen Kalla released the following statement:

“Instead of parading around the endorsement of a sexual harasser and alleged rapist, Duncan should be calling on Attorney General Laxalt to investigate the many allegations against this predatory sheriff. Duncan and Laxalt have already failed to keep Nevada women safe by turning a blind eye to Antinoro despite mounting evidence of his inappropriate and dangerous conduct. Based on Duncan’s inaction, Nevadans have no reason to trust he would keep them safe if elected attorney general.”
