Today, Nathan Gonzales’ nonpartisan Inside Elections changed its rating of the Nevada governor’s race from “toss-up” to “tilt Democratic.” This comes after Republican candidate Adam Laxalt has received weeks of bad press and has continued to campaign against Gov. Brian Sandoval’s legacy education investment, one of the reasons why the Republican governor has not given Laxalt his endorsement.
Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Helen Kalla released the following statement:
“This national ratings change is yet another sign that Nevada Democrats have momentum on our side and are going to carry it through to Election Day to take back the governor’s mansion. Nevada voters want a governor who will put them first, not another special interest crony like Adam Laxalt. Nevadans will reject Republicans’ dangerous, ideological agenda and win up and down the ballot in November.”
