Republican Sen. Dean Heller’s desperation in his GOP primary appears to be spiraling into all-out panic.
One day after releasing his “anemic” fundraising numbers and enduring an excruciating snub (watch here) from President Trump after last night’s State of the Union, Heller launched a new 60-second TV attack ad targeting his pro-Trump primary challenger, conservative businessman Danny Tarkanian. Heller, who spent as much money as he raised last quarter, has trailed Tarkanian in public polling ahead of the GOP primary on June 12.
Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Sarah Abel released the following statement:
“From his weak fundraising and his pathetic efforts to cozy up to Trump, to this expensive new attack ad against his primary challenger, Sen. Heller is floundering as he gears up for this nasty primary fight.”
