NV Dems Respond to Trump’s Plan to End CSR Payments, Spiking Health Care Premiums

In response to tonight’s POLITICO report that President Trump plans to cut the Affordable Care Act’s cost-sharing reduction payments to health insurers, Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Stewart Boss released the following statement:

“President Trump and Senator Heller are trying to make it more expensive for working families to access health insurance, creating unnecessary chaos in our health care system because it serves their partisan political agenda. These cost-sharing reductions exist to help keep regular people’s health care costs down. Nevadans will lose coverage or see their health care premiums spike because of President Trump’s actions, and voters will rightly point the finger at Senator Heller for enabling Trump’s destructive sabotage.”

Polling indicates that voters will blame Republicans like Senator Heller in 2018 for health care problems occurring while President Trump and Republicans in Congress control Washington.
