While Governor Sandoval Urges Bipartisan Process, Senator Heller Negotiating Devastating Health Care Repeal in Secret with Republicans

Las Vegas, NVIn response to Governor Brian Sandoval’s bipartisan letter to U.S. Senate leaders today urging them to prioritize improving health care in a way that can find support across party lines, Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Stewart Boss released the following statement:

“Nevadans agree with Governor Sandoval that our state is better off because of Medicaid expansion, and the GOP health care plan would be a disaster if it is enacted. Senator Heller must stop negotiating behind closed doors with Republicans to pass this unpopular, heartless repeal bill that will end Medicaid expansion and increase people’s health care costs. Republicans don’t even plan to hold a hearing before they vote on this legislation. It’s time for Senator Heller to stop legitimizing this shady, secretive and hyper-partisan process.”
