Las Vegas, NV – Some Nevada conservatives are none too pleased with a weekend report from POLITICO where Republican Senator Dean Heller tried to do a delicate dance on his support for repealing the Affordable Care Act in front of a tense and often raucous closed-door meeting at a Henderson retirement community. Today on his show, conservative talk radio host Kevin Wall pounced on Heller for twisting in the wind on the ACA now that his re-election campaign is in trouble, even comparing Heller to failed Senate candidate Joe Heck.
Kevin Wall: “I’ve got a bone to pick with Dean Heller.”
Kevin Wall: “There are a lot of people, there are a lot of my Republican friends in Northern Nevada that swear up and down they will not vote for Dean Heller again, the same way they said they would not vote for Joe Heck. And you saw what happened to Joe Heck. Joe Heck is back to being a Brigadier General and a citizen soldier.”
Kevin Wall: “Dean Heller was a little weak-kneed… and in fact, he bashed the House Obamacare repeal and replace legislation.”
Kevin Wall: “That was Dr. Tom Price. A doctor. He has for years been one of the smartest guys out there when it comes to health care. And that’s why I trust the bill that he’s put forward. And even if Dean Heller doesn’t like it…. and I mean, I’ve got a bone to pick with Dean Heller. And I hope he’ll come on this show, and he’ll explain exactly what he means. Is health care a right, or not? I mean, he parses words. Maybe he’s afraid to say it.”
