Congressman Heck’s Campaign Mocks Rape Victims In Latest Edition of How Low Can His Campaign Go

Las Vegas, NV – In a desperate attempt to save his political career, Congressman Heck released a “listicle” that included a GIF of actress Janice Dickinson to make fun of rape victims. Further proving that Congressman Heck’s campaign is out of touch with women, Janice Dickinson is one of the most vocal women who have accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault.

Congressman Heck’s campaign has been flailing since Heck finally decided to unendorse a man who bragged about sexual assault for President. After supporting Trump for months as he called women “fat pigs” and “disgusting animals,” openly discussed the looks of the women on his reality show The Apprentice – and whether or not he would sleep with them, and insinuated that Megyn Kelly could not do her job because she was menstruating, it’s no surprise that Congressman Heck would use a survivor of sexual assault to trivialize and make fun of rape victims.

“Mocking rape victims isn’t funny — it’s disgusting, twisted, and Congressman Heck should be ashamed to have his name on this,” said Mairead Lynn, spokesperson for the Nevada Democratic Party. “Unfortunately, this type of behavior has become par for the course from a campaign that has attacked Catherine’s Mexican heritage, stood by Donald Trump for months despite Trump’s demeaning behavior towards women, and lied about Catherine Cortez Masto’s long record of standing up for victims of sexual assault. This is what Joe Heck’s campaign has become and it is sad.”
