NV Dems Statement on Hillary Clinton’s Debate Victory in Las Vegas

“Donald Trump might have been better off tonight if he just stayed at his hotel surrounded by a wall of taco trucks.”

Las Vegas, NV – Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Roberta Lange released the following statement on Hillary Clinton’s decisive win in tonight’s third and final presidential debate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas:

“Donald Trump might have been better off tonight if he just stayed at his hotel surrounded by a wall of taco trucks. Instead, Trump came to UNLV to decisively lose Round 3 and once again prove that he’s unfit to be President.

“Hillary Clinton had an extraordinary debate, where she laid out in clear terms her plans to improve our national security, pass immigration reform with a path to citizenship, protect women’s health, appoint a Supreme Court justice that would overturn Citizens United, and make the largest investment in American jobs since World War II.

“Donald Trump reminded the nation tonight that he is an anti-immigrant demagogue and a puppet for Vladimir Putin who doesn’t have the temperament to be our Commander-in-Chief. Trump literally doubled down on trying to discredit American democracy. Trump is clueless about foreign policy, his immigration plan is a deportation force, and his economic policies would explode the federal deficit by trillions of dollars and drag America back into another recession.

“Early voting in Nevada starts this Saturday. Republicans like Congressman Heck and Hardy who stood firmly with Trump until he became a political liability will have to own this racist, misogynistic bully and their own disgraceful lack of judgment. The handful of Republicans like Danny Tarkanian and Congressman Amodei who are still standing with Trump have compromised their own integrity and should be filled with shame after watching tonight’s debate.”
