Las Vegas, NV — Last week, in front of a group of conservative Republicans, Danny Tarkanian once again reiterated his Tea Party agenda to privatize Social Security and raise the retirement age for Nevada seniors. Danny told the crowd at the Siena Conservative Club that “privatization should be an option” and lamented the fact that the Social Security retirement age still hasn’t been raised, asking, “Why don’t we raise the age a little bit?”
This came just days before Danny doubled down on his endorsement of Donald Trump, despite disgusting video footage that showed Trump bragging about groping women. Social Security is another issue where Danny and Donald are joined at the hip — in the past, Trump has called Social Security a Ponzi scheme and also proposed raising the retirement age and privatizing the program.
“It’s October 2016, but you’ll have to forgive us if it seems like Danny Tarkanian is still stuck in 2010 trying to run to the right of Sharron Angle in a Republican primary,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Stewart Boss. “Danny’s extreme plans to raise the Social Security retirement age and privatize the program won’t go over well with Nevada seniors.”
