As Donald Trump reignites birther conspiracies, Congressman Heck is still all in for him
Heck has a long history of campaigning with birthers
Las Vegas, NV – Yesterday, Donald Trump refused to say whether or not he believes President Obama was born in the United States, reigniting the birther conspiracies he brought to the national stage in 2011. And yet, Congressman Joe Heck continues to support Trump and trusts him with the nuclear codes.
This should come to a surprise to no one, seeing that Congressman Heck has a long and storied past of associating with birthers like Donald Trump, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Wayne Allen Root and Orly Taitz. Congressman Heck, himself, has dabbled in peddling conspiracy theories to further promote his agenda of fear and intolerance.
“Congressman Heck is one of the only candidates for U.S. Senate who is all in for Trump and it appears nothing will get him to change his mind,” said Mairead Lynn, spokesperson for the Nevada Democratic Party. “Donald Trump continues to perpetuate his racist birther conspiracies, and Congressman Heck can’t wait to be his loyal foot soldier in Washington. Heck supports Trump with the nuclear codes and shares his anti-immigrant policy positions, including ending birthright citizenship, defunding DACA and opposing comprehensive immigration reform.”
