On 4th Anniversary of DACA, Watch Victoria’s Journey

Las Vegas, NV – Today, the Nevada State Democratic Party released a new video about Victoria Ruíz-Marín, a DREAMer who came to the United States when she was eight years old. As a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient, Victoria now lives in Las Vegas without fear of deportation, and she is fighting tirelessly to elect Democrats up and down the ticket as a field organizer for the Democratic coordinated campaign.

“Thanks to DACA, thousands of Nevada DREAMers like Victoria have been able to come out of the shadows, contribute to our economy and pursue their dreams,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesman Stewart Boss. “While Nevada Republicans continue to align themselves with Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda, Hillary Clinton and Nevada Democrats are fully committed to protecting the President’s executive actions and finally passing immigration reform with a path to citizenship.”
