Las Vegas, NV – Last week, in an appearance with Veterans in Politics, perennial candidate Danny Tarkanian was asked what he would do first if he’s elected to Congress. His answer? He’d pack up his whole family and move to Washington.
This is no surprise coming from a five-time loser who has shown time and time again that he doesn’t care one bit about the actual job or serving constituents – he just really wants to get elected to something. Like anything. Tarkanian has previously run for State Senate, Secretary of State, U.S. Senate, U.S. House (in another district) and Board of Regents. He is an ultra-conservative who has never won a general election.
“If the first thing he wants to do is ditch Southern Nevada, it’s clear that Danny Tarkanian doesn’t care about the people he’s running to represent – he only cares about himself,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesman Stewart Boss. “Nevadans want a fresh leader who will help break the partisan gridlock in Washington and deliver for their constituents, not another political insider.”
HOST: “So, let’s say that you get elected. What’s the first thing you plan on doing?”
DANNY TARKANIAN: “I’m going to take my kids and drive across the country, all the way to Washington, D.C. and find a home and put them up in there. I assume you’re asking what I’m going to when…
HOST: “…for Nevada.”
