NV Dems Statements on Congressional Races

Las Vegas, NV  Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Roberta Lange released the following statements on the general election races for Nevada’s four Congressional seats:

Congressional District 1: “Congresswoman Dina Titus has been our champion and ally in the House of Representatives, and she will continue to fight for our state for many years to come. She’s an outstanding public servant, and Nevada has benefited greatly from her fierce advocacy on issues like rebuilding our infrastructure, serving Nevada veterans and highlighting the need for immigration reform. We look forward to re-electing Congresswoman Titus in November.”

Congressional District 2: “Career politician and lobbyist Mark Amodei has nothing to show for his time in Congress, and Northern Nevada deserves better than Amodei’s failed leadership. Chip Evans is a terrific candidate who is laser-focused on growing Nevada’s economy, rebuilding our middle class and creating good-paying jobs.”

Congressional District 3: “Jacky Rosen is a community leader with deep ties to Southern Nevada, and her experience working in the technology sector and serving as President of our state’s largest synagogue has prepared her to work across the aisle to get results for us in Washington. Her Republican opponent, Danny Tarkanian, is an ultra-conservative career politician who has spent the last decade running and losing races – and he’s going to lose another one this November.”

Congressional District 4: “Cresent Hardy’s days of embarrassing Nevada as our accidental Congressman are numbered. Congratulations to state Senator Ruben Kihuen on his primary victory tonight, and I want to commend Susie Lee and Lucy Flores for running positive, issue-oriented campaigns — both of these women have important futures in our state and our party. Ruben has been an accomplished and relentless fighter for working families over the past decade in Carson City, and I know he’s ready to take that fight to Washington. Cresent Hardy is a shameless Donald Trump supporter, and Nevadans are going to reject his extreme Tea Party agenda in November.”
