Las Vegas, NV – The Nevada State Democratic Party will host its first-ever Military and Overseas Tele-Caucus on Saturday, February 20 at 11 a.m. PT to accommodate military members and other Nevada residents living overseas who will be unable to attend their neighborhood precinct caucus in person. Nevadans who wish to participate in the tele-caucus must sign up in advance here. This tele-caucus is open to:
- Members of the military stationed outside Nevada
- Military family members living abroad
- Members of the Peace Corps
- Members of the Diplomatic Corps
- Students or other Nevadans living abroad
“The Nevada State Democratic Party’s first-ever Military and Overseas Tele-Caucus will help us make our First in the West presidential caucus more open and inclusive for 2016,” said Cory Warfield, Nevada State Democratic Party Presidential Caucus Director. “Nevada’s military servicemembers and their families, members of the Peace Corps and Diplomatic Corps, students and other Nevadans living abroad will be able to join Democrats across Nevada to help pick our next President. We’re excited for this new addition to our caucus process.”
Participants must register by Sunday, February 14 to receive the necessary dial-in information. The NV Dems will confirm on a rolling basis that all participants are registered Democrats who are eligible for the tele-caucus. Reminder emails will be distributed with a phone number and a unique pin to dial in. Two delegates from the tele-caucus will be awarded to the state convention.
