Reno Gazette-Journal: Nevada Democrats launch ‘Caucus Locator Tool’

The Nevada Democratic Party released an online tool on Wednesday to help party members find caucus locations for the Feb. 20 contest.

The Caucus Locator Tool can be found at nvdems.com/caucus/locations. It works by typing in one’s address, which then routes the person to the nearest caucus location – typically a school, community center or place of worship – and provides Google Maps directions along with the option to save and print. The entire state has around 200 caucus locations.

“With our new caucus locator, our pre-registration system and our revamped NV Dems website, we have overhauled our digital outreach tools to improve the caucus process for Nevadans next month and gear up for the 2016 election cycle,” said Zach Zaragoza, Nevada State Democratic Party Executive Director. “Our website is a critical part of communicating about the caucus process and helping Nevada voters select a Democratic nominee to take on the Party of Trump.”

The Democrats in December announced Caucus Express, a pre-registration tool giving users caucus location information and allowing them to check in early.

Caucus Express and the Caucus Locator Tool are part of a full redesign of the website, Zaragoza said. The party expects to have a Spanish-language version of the site out later this month.
