NV Dems Unveil New Online Caucus Locator Tool Ahead of First in the West Presidential Caucuses

Las Vegas, NV – Today, the Nevada State Democratic Party launched a new online tool to help all Nevadans find their precinct caucus location so they can participate in our First in the West presidential caucuses and register their preference for our 2016 Democratic nominee. The caucus locator tool is part of a new online hub for caucus information at nvdems.com/caucus and a significant redesign of the entire NV Dems website. Nevada’s Democratic presidential caucuses will take place on Saturday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. PT.

“Ensuring that our First in the West caucuses are transparent and accessible is a major priority for the Nevada State Democratic Party as we gear up for Saturday, February 20th,” said Zach Zaragoza, Nevada State Democratic Party Executive Director. “With our new caucus locator, our pre-registration system and our revamped NV Dems website, we have overhauled our digital outreach tools to improve the caucus process for Nevadans next month and gear up for the 2016 election cycle. Our website is a critical part of communicating about the caucus process and helping Nevada voters select a Democratic nominee to take on the Party of Trump. That’s why we have redesigned nvdems.com to make our platform mobile-friendly, improve the navigation and create a more visual user experience, and I look forward to Nevadans using these new tools.”

Nevadans will find their precinct caucus location at a public venue close to home – most likely a neighborhood school, community center or place of worship. There will be more than 200 different caucus locations statewide. To use the caucus locator tool, you must enter your current home address in Nevada. The result will provide Google Maps directions, the address of your precinct caucus location, and options to email yourself the directions, print out the directions, and add the information to your calendar.

The NV Dems website includes information on the caucus process in Spanish. Later this month, the NV Dems will roll out a full Spanish-language version of the new website.

Earlier this month, the NV Dems also announced Caucus Express, a new online pre-registration tool that allows caucus goers to receive their caucus location information and save time with an express check-in on Caucus Day. Pre-registration is an easy three-step process that can be completed, including on your mobile device, at caucus.nvdems.com.

You must be registered to vote as a Democrat in order to participate in the caucuses. Nevada Democrats allow same-day voter registration on Caucus Day, or you can register to vote or update your information now on the Nevada Secretary of State’s website.
