Congressman Heck to Headline Birther Conference

Las Vegas, NV – Tomorrow, December 14, 2015, Congressman Heck will headline a birther conference in Las Vegas.  The organization sponsoring the conference – called the Center for Security Policy – was cited by GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in his press release calling for the discriminatory ban on all Muslim travel to the United States.

The organization’s founder, Frank Gaffney, has a long history of questioning whether President Obama was born in the United States.  Other speakers at the event include Congressman Heck’s anti-immigrant and birther colleague, Congressman Steve King, renowned local birther Wayne Allyn Root, and GOP Presidential candidates Rick Santorum, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, and Carly Fiorina.

While he has refused to say whether he would support Donald Trump if Trump were to win the Republican nomination, Congressman Heck has frequently parroted Trump’s issue positions, particularly on immigration.  Congressman Heck agrees with Trump’s proposal to repeal birthright citizenship.
