Las Vegas, NV – Last week, ethically-challenged Congressman Heck cast his latest vote to essentially shut down the government and allow the United States to default on its loans and obligations. While this wasn’t the first time Congressman Heck voted for a shutdown, or to default, it was yet another example of how the Congressman and his potential primary opponent, Sharron Angle, are two birds of the same feather.
Like Congressman Heck, Angle has supported previous efforts to shut down the U.S. government. She has also criticized efforts to raise the debt ceiling and prevent default. This is only the latest in a long litany of issues where Congressman Heck and Angle are on the same page. In fact — every issue raised in the letter launching the campaign to draft Angle to run for Senate are issues where Congressman Heck and Angle are in complete agreement.
“Ethically-challenged Congressman Heck once again demonstrated he and Sharron Angle are two birds of the same feather when he voted to essentially shut down the government last week and allow the United States to default on its loans and obligations,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Zach Hudson. “On issue after issue, Congressman Heck and Sharron Angle put their narrow conservative ideology ahead of Nevada families.”
