NSDP Chair Roberta Lange Statement in Response to Floridas Announcement Today
Las Vegas, NV- In reaction to Florida’s announcement today that they are moving their Presidential Primary date to January 31st, Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Roberta Lange issued the following statement:
“Florida’s announcement today risks the integrity and intent of the presidential nominating calendar and is a blatant violation of the rules agreed upon by the national committees of both Parties. The Nevada State Democratic Party has already passed a resolution granting power to the Chair to do whatever is necessary to preserve the integrity of that window by moving up the date of our caucuses. We anticipate moving up our caucus date in coordination with the other sanctioned early states, most likely in January.”
