Heller Campaign Still Airing Illegal Ad After Saying They Would Fix It By Thursday Afternoon

Heller Spokesperson on Illegal ad: “We have made the edit and stations will have the new ad this afternoon.” (That would be yesterday afternoon)

Las Vegas, NV – Apparently, according to his campaign, Dean Heller did NOT chop down that cherry tree.  Yesterday, after Nevada Democrats filed an ethics complaint with the Federal Election Commission over Senator Dean Heller’s illegal ad that fails to properly disclose whether Heller approves of the message, the Heller campaign responded by saying “we have made the edit and stations will have the new ad this afternoon.”

Well, one day later, the illegal ad is still on the air without the proper disclaimer.  Funny how time flies when you’re telling lies. 

“As if airing an illegal ad in the first place wasn’t unethical enough, now Dean Heller’s campaign is lying to reporters about it,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Zach Hudson.  “While Senator Heller may feel that airing illegal ads is necessary to paper over his two votes to end Medicare by turning it over to private insurance companies, Nevada families deserve better.”
