Warning All Nevada Seniors: Amodei Wants to End Your Medicare and Now Hes After Your Social Security

Las Vegas, NV – Career politician Mark Amodei released another misleading ad this week that doubles down on his pledge to throw Nevada seniors under the bus.  In his new ad, Amodei says he would vote against the United States paying its bills, a reckless move that would prevent Nevada seniors from receiving their Social Security, VA benefits and disability checks. 

 

"Mark Amodei is throwing Nevada seniors under the bus once again to protect tax cuts for billionaires and taxpayer giveaways to Big Oil and Wall Street," said Zach Hudson, spokesperson for the Nevada State Democratic Party.  "Considering Amodei already wants to end Medicare, it's no surprise that he would gamble with Nevada senior citizens' Social Security checks now too.  

 

 Amodei's plan to stop the U.S. from paying its bills would be a financial and health crisis for senior citizens as he rewrites his clear record of authoring one of the largest tax increases in Nevada history.  Senior citizens' Social Security,  Medicare coverage, VA benefits, and disability checks would all be in jeopardy if Mark Amodei gets his way.

"The fact remains, Mark Amodei has zero credibility on tax cuts or creating jobs, and his latest stunt threatening the health and livelihood of Nevada seniors will not change that position," added Hudson.  "Thankfully, the voters of CD2 have a clear choice between Kate Marshall, a job creator who has pledged to protect their Social Security and Medicare, and Mark Amodei, a career politician whose reckless agenda would end Medicare and take away senior citizens' Social Security checks."
