VIDEO: Sarah Palin Draws Meager Crowd in Reno, Mourns Loss of Common Sense

Reno Residents Sour on Angle, Just Like Her Hometown Paper, Mayor and Colleagues

Reno, NV – Today in Reno, Sarah Palin said common sense is an “endangered species.”

And no wonder. After all, she was in town stumping for Sharron Angle.

But seriously. It’s easy to see how Palin could believe that Angle has taken leave of her senses. ***View new video here.***

  • Angle lied about lying to a group of Hispanic students in Las Vegas who she said "look Asian"

  • She's lies pathologically about her long-held agenda to kill Social Security

  • She continues to lie about wanting to privatize the VA

  • She still tells people it's not her job  to create job at a time people are struggling

  • She calls unemployed people "spoiled”

  • She supports tax breaks for companies that ship jobs to places like China and India

But luckily not many people hear Palin lament the loss of common sense by Angle’s tanking campaign.

According the Republican-leaning National Review, Sarah Palin only attracted about 200 people to a rally in Reno today, in a last-ditch effort to save Sharron Angle's flailing campaign.

Have Reno residents gone sour on Sharron Angle?  You betcha.

Angle's hometown newspaper, the Reno Gazette Journal, endorsed Sen. Reid.  So did her Republican hometown mayor, the Republican leader of the State Senate and the Elko Daily Free Press, just to name the most recent.

“The GOP talks a good game about the enthusiasm gap,” said Phoebe Sweet, communications director for the Nevada State Democratic Party. “But today’s crowd told a different story. Meanwhile, Sharron Angle’s extreme and dangerous positions on killing Social Security, privatizing the Veterans Administration and killing the Department of Education are motivating Democrats to get to the polls. Democrats are so angry that Sharron Angle again and again stands up for Big Insurance and companies that ship jobs overseas, they’re not only getting out to vote – they’re volunteering across the state to ensure their neighbors and friends get out to vote for Harry Reid, too.”
