VIDEO FLASHBACK: Heller Says Now isn’t the Time to Talk About Jobs

Unelected Senator tries to use his maiden speech to pretend job creation is top priority, despite history of ignoring NV unemployment

Las Vegas, NV – As unelected Senator Dean Heller finally pretends to be concerned about job-creation today during his maiden speech in the U.S. Senate, here is a friendly reminder to give a little insight into Heller's true thoughts about getting Nevadans back to work.  Last month, in response to Congresswoman Shelley Berkley kicking off her August “Focus on Jobs” Tour across Nevada, Heller actually said this isn't the time to talk about getting our economy back on track and creating jobs.

But that should come as no surprise to those who have been following Heller's votes over the last few months.  Instead of voting to create jobs, he has voted to kill Medicare by turning it over to private insurance companies two times since entering the Senate.  Additionally, he voted to protect taxpayer giveaways to the big oil companies that bankroll his campaign.

Puts his speech today on jobs in perspective, don't you think?
