VIDEO: Amodei Tries to Hide His Support for GOP Plan to End Medicare

Las Vegas, NV – Last night, on Face to Face with Jon Ralston, Mark Amodei repeatedly refused to give a straight answer on his support for the Republican plan to end Medicare, looking ridiculous in the process.  

 

Contrary to what he said, or tried to say, last night, Amodei has already taken a firm stance in support of the Republican budget plan that ends Medicare, saying “I need to cozy up to Paul Ryan and give him whatever support he needs,” and “I like a lot of what [Ryan] says in terms of Medicare, I think that’s excellent.”

 

“Spin and doubletalk will not change the fact that Kirk Lippold and Mark Amodei are on record giving their full throated support for the Heller-Heck plan to end Medicare,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Zach Hudson.  “Instead of dancing around the issue and refusing to give a straight answer, Mark Amodei should just admit he supports a plan that would increase the out-of-pocket costs Nevada seniors pay by $6,000 a year and nearly double the cost of their prescription drug coverage.”
