Sharron Angle to Continue Her Illegal Coordination With “Independent” Danny Tarkanian Tonight

After admitting Angle broke the law, Tarkanian will host illegal fundraiser for embattled Senate hopeful

Enough is enough.
 
It's time for Sharron Angle to stop her illegal coordination with Danny Tarkanian and the "independent" group he formed solely to smear Sen. Harry Reid on her behalf. Angle will again break the law tonight when she attends a fundraiser being hosted by Danny Tarkanian with Christian pop star Pat Boone.
 
Nevada Democrats last week asked the feds to probe the illegal coordination between Angle and Tarkanian, who is running a third-party group legally prohibited from any coordination with the campaign. Not that that’s stopped this Thelma and Louise from flouting the law repeatedly.
 
Tarkanian even admitted to the illegal coordination with Angle’s campaign last week, mere hours after pulling out of a candidate forum where he was scheduled to (illegally) speak on Angle’s behalf citing an abundance of caution.
 
Local political observer Jon Ralston has this to say about Angle’s latest illegal coordination with Tarkanian last night:
 
“In the ‘will he ever learn department,’ Danny Tarkanian is a member of the host committee throwing a fundraiser for Sharron Angle tomorrow night,” said Ralston. “How can you be on a host committee for a candidate and run a third party group? Um, you can’t.”
 
Legal genius Danny Tarkanian perhaps explained it best last week to conservative talker Heidi Harris:
 
“The part that is a little in the gray area that we’re going to be cautious on until we get a response back from the FEC on is: Sharron’s campaign had asked me to speak on her behalf at an event last night. And there was another one coming up… That’s the gray area.”
 
That “gray area” he speaks of is the aforementioned fundraiser with Pat Boone. Oops.
 
And the worst part? Sharron knows it’s illegal. She’s said so. Several times. Like this one: “Federal law forbids us from having any contact with them (independent expenditures like Tarkanian’s) because it says you cannot coordinate those efforts,” Angle told KLAS Channel 8 in Las Vegas.
 
Apparently the Angle campaign and her new DC handlers are willing to do anything to salvage her tanking campaign.
 
Yet again, Democrats are left wondering why Angle would want a stellar surrogate like Danny Tarkanian loose in the world.
 
After all, last time he left the house he highlighted her extreme and dangerous positions on “Second Amendment remedies.” Then there was the time he mentioned her plan to kill Social Security. Oh, and yesterday when he attacked one of Angle’s major supporters, the Tea Party Express, as overpriced California consultants rather than the organic, folksy movement it portrays itself as.
 
Tarkanian even admitted on Jon Ralston’s Face to Face that he was colluding with Angle to break the law by wearing “many hats” in his roles as both an “independent” operator and an agent of the Angle campaign.

“Nevada Democrats have sent a clear message that Sharron Angle is not above the law and should stop this illegal coordination immediately,” said Phoebe Sweet, communications director for the Nevada State Democratic Party. “But she and her DC handlers are so desperate to distract from her extreme and dangerous agenda, they’re willing to resort to illegal coordination with world’s worst surrogate, Danny Tarkanian. Too bad Nevada voters aren’t buying it. They know she’s not above the law, and she is too extreme for this state.”
