NSDP Slams Romney’s Failed Economic Policies Ahead of Las Vegas Trip

Las Vegas -  Upon this morning’s news that for the fifth straight month Nevada’s unemployment rate has declined, Mitt Romney is bringing his job-destroying record to the Silver State, attending a closed-door, high-dollar fundraiser in Las Vegas today.  Nevada State Democratic Party Communications Director Zach Hudson released the following statement highlighting Mitt Romney's record of failed economic policies:
"Today’s announcement that Nevada’s unemployment rate has fallen for the fifth consecutive month is both a sign that our economy is slowly recovering and a reminder that there is still a lot of work to do.

“Nevada needs common sense solutions to help turn around our economy and get Nevadans back to work, but the only thing Mitt Romney has to offer are the same Bush era policies of giving tax breaks to companies that ship American jobs overseas, extending billions in taxpayer giveaways to oil executives and bringing us to the brink of a second Great Depression.

"When Mitt Romney was Governor of Massachusetts the state ranked 47th out of 50 in job creation and the Massachusetts foreclosure rate skyrocketed - and that was well before the economy faltered in 2007 and 2008.  Even before he was Governor, as CEO of Bain Capital, Romney laid off hundreds of workers, all while pocketing huge fees.  It's clear that Mitt Romney doesn't have the answers Nevadans need for the challenges we face."
