In Circle of Friends, Will Angle Finally Name “Domestic Enemies”?

Angle to party with Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck crowds this weekend

Sharron Angle has a big weekend planned. Tonight, she’s scheduled to party with Sean Hannity and conservative rockers at a Las Vegas concert. Tomorrow, she’ll hang around with Glenn Beck’s Las Vegas fans, the ones who couldn’t make it to Washington, D.C., anyway.

So, while she’s among friends, it makes sense that she would finally reveal who her supposed “domestic enemies” in Congress are.

Before the GOP primary, Angle agreed with conservative radio host Bill Manders that there are “domestic enemies” of America in the Senate. But so far, Angle has refused to say who these enemies are. Instead, she’s doubled down on her outrageous comments.

The Washington Post reports today that Angle has now twice refused to repudiate or justify this reckless accusation. In fact, when conservative talker Heidi Harris gave Angle a chance to clarify what she and Manders meant by “domestic enemies,” Angle not only acknowledged that she meant what she said, she went so far as to agree with Harris is that there are “folks in Congress who truly want to do us harm.”

VIDEO: Sen Reid has personally taken Angle to task for these statements, calling them "beyond the pale."

Coupled with her suggestion that Americans may reach for the bullet box if Angle is unsuccessful at the ballot box – using so-called “Second Amendment remedies” – these latest comments may be her most extreme ever.

So, while Sharron is among friends this weekend, will she finally feel comfortable enough to reveal her list of domestic enemies?

“Sharron Angle spent the early months of her campaign hiding from mainstream press that might ask her tough questions about her extreme positions, instead taking refuge with right-wing talkers and conservative media, where she feels most comfortable,” said Phoebe Sweet, communications director for the Nevada State Democratic Party. “So this weekend, while she’s paling around with Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck types, maybe she’ll finally feel comfortable enough to reveal which members of Congress she considers ‘domestic enemies’ of the United States. After all, Angle wants to serve in Congress with these supposed enemies, so it’s high time she named names.”
