Day after Decoy Fiasco, Sharron Angle Cancels Appearance at Hispanic Church
After flap over handlers faking out Reno news crews, Angle cancels appearance at Hispanic community meeting
Yesterday Sharron Angle resorted to sleight of hand and trickery to avoid the media and their questions.
The day after her DC handlers faked out Reno reporters who staked Angle out at one of her rare out-of-bunker appearances, and snuck their candidate out the side door, Angle cancelled her only known public appearance today.
As of last night, Angle was schedule to speak at a community meeting at Aguilas Centro Familiar Cristiano in Las Vegas tonight. But after yesterday’s decoy ploy blew up in the local and national media, Angle cancelled the event and headed back to the bunker.
Angle has been avoiding the public for nearly two weeks now.
The stonewall began when Angle made racially-charged remarks to local Hispanic students, igniting a national media firestorm. She told the teens, members of the Hispanic Student Union, that they looked “a little Asian” to her.
Then came The Shush. When a member of the Nevada press corps tried to ask Angle a question before an event, Angle replied, “Shhhhhhh.” Then her campaign accused the reporter of lying about the now-infamous shush despite video evidence backing up his story.
Once ChickenAngle started following the camera-shy candidate to all her public events, urging her to talk to reporters and answer questions about her extreme and dangerous positions, Angle literally started running from the media and in at least one case used a decoy to escape the press.
Now she has apparently retreated to the bunker once and for all, cancelling the only public appearance on her schedule today.
But she can only run for so long.
Although ChickenAngle is taking today off, tomorrow he and sidekick Decoy Duck will be back on Angle’s trail.
