After throwing red meat to the base, Sharron Angle runs from the media at Newt Gingrich event
After she stood up her own candidate forum last night, Sharron Angle knew there was no missing out on another date night with her right wing cronies and outside-the-mainstream fans.
So, she and her DC handlers -- armed with some dishonest answers about her positions on Social Security and privatizing the VA -- headed to a "Jobs Here Jobs Now" rally with Newt Gingrich.
Yes, that's right... The same woman who said "it's not my job to create jobs" and "I'm not in the business of creating jobs" attended a Jobs Here Jobs Now rally. We know, we know
Still, this chicken wouldn’t miss an opportunity to see Sharron in one of her rare, outside-the-bunker appearances. So he, er, suited up and headed to the JW Marriott along with an eager and Sharron-starved Nevada press corps.
But those pesky reporters Sharron has worked so hard to avoid came armed with questions about why a long-shot primary candidate (who once complained that the mainstream media were giving her short shrift) has retired to a secure bunker location now that her extreme and dangerous ideas are in the spotlight.
So, what did Sharron do? Run! Hide! Duck for cover!
Not a peep to the local media. Not a quote for the New York Times. Instead, after her speech, she duck out the back into a waiting car and sped away.
Even ChickenAngle took questions tonight.
But not Sharron Angle.
So, why is bunker dweller/on-again-off-again US Senate candidate Sharron Angle chicken to talk to the media about her tanking campaign and her dangerous positions on everything from Social Security and the Veterans Administration to Second Amendment remedies and government idolatry?
Because she knows the more Nevadans learn about her dangerous positions on things like mammograms, the more they know she’s too extreme for Nevada.
Sharron Angle believes insurance companies shouldn’t cover life-saving mammograms. That’s why the chicken will celebrate National Mammogram Day – TODAY! – by attending the Republican Women’s Fall Dinner Meeting in Reno.
We’re not sure if Sharron will manage to clear time in her busy schedule to visit her own home town. But join us here…
