CHANNEL. 13: UMC Kidney Transplant Survivor Says Berkley’s Actions Saved His Life
Calls GOP Stunt Complaint Against Berkley "Absurd", "Ridiculous"
Transplant Survivor: "Of course you want to save your life. Of course you want to live. You can't bring politics into somebody's livelihood"
Las Vegas, NV – While Republicans continue to use hypocritical stunts to distract from unelected Senator Dean Heller’s pay-to-play scheme with Big Oil, Channel 13 in Las Vegas reported last night that for UMC kidney transplant survivor George McLaurin, Rep. Berkley's actions intervening to save “a transplant program in Nevada is the difference between life and death.” McLaurin added in response to the Republicans’ stunt, “you can’t bring politics into somebody’s livelihood” and that the Republicans’ complaint was “ridiculous.”
Maybe next time Republicans try to distract from Dean Heller being bought and paid for by Big Oil, they won’t target a program that saves Nevadans’ lives.
