BREAKING NEWS ALERT:  Rep. Joe Heck Doubles Down on Pyramid Scheme Comment

Las Vegas, NV - So much for “misspeaking.”  Jon Ralston reported this morning that yesterday on a conservative talk radio show, Rep. Joe Heck doubled down on his previous comment that Social Security is a “pyramid scheme.”

Heck agreed with a caller who praised Heck’s “pyramid scheme” remark, and instead of trying to correct the caller with his (now clearly false) explanation that he had previously misspoke, Heck told the caller that he’s  “exactly right.”  Clearly, Heck’s previous comment  was not a gaffe but in fact Heck’s actual belief that Social Security is a "pyramid scheme".  Keep in mind Heck voted only months ago to end Medicare and raise the out-of-pocket cost Nevada seniors pay for their healthcare by $6,000 a year.

Needless to say, Heck will have a lot of explaining to do at his Social Security townhall tonight.
