Nevada Democrats Debut Caucus YouTube Channel
The Nevada Democratic Party is debuting a new YouTube Channel,
www.youtube.com/nvdemocraticparty, as part of its extensive internet
outreach to educate Democrats on the “First in the West” presidential
caucus on January 19.
The channel will be used to showcase news coverage and videos relating
to the Nevada caucus and could be the first channel of its kind created
by an early nominating state. Nevada was chosen to hold one of the
first presidential contests to diversify the process of selecting a
president and give a greater voice to the West.
Nevada Democrats are invited to join the NVDemocraticParty group on
YouTube and submit videos of their own from candidate events, community
meetings and Caucus Day itself. If accepted, that user generated
content will be added to the channel so that anyone interested in the
Nevada Caucus can keep track of this exciting opportunity for our state.
“The Nevada Democratic Party is taking advantage of every opportunity
to get the word out and make this Caucus a success,” said Jill Derby,
Nevada Democratic Party Chair. “We have held trainings in person, we
are advertising in the media, sending mail to voters’ homes and
creating one of the strongest web presences of any Democratic state
party in the country to keep Nevadans informed about the Caucus.
January 19th will be a landmark for our state as we help choose the
next Democratic President of the United States.”
The Internet has been a large part of the Nevada Democratic Party's
caucus outreach. The state party runs two Web sites dedicated to the
caucus, www.nvcaucus.com in English and www.nuestrocaucus.com in
Spanish. Both sites include a feature in which Nevadans can look up
their neighborhood's designated precinct caucus location.
