 Jill Derby announces campaign for the 2nd Congressional District
Jill Derby launched her congressional campaign on February 20th in Reno
with local supporters who want an independent voice for all Nevadans in
the 2nd Congressional district. Jill plans to make good on her promise
to hold Congressman Dean Heller's feet to the fire on his failure to
represent all people in the 2nd Congressional District.
She believes it is time to send someone to Washington who is true to Nevada values, independence and straight talk.
"My allegiance lies with those Nevadans Democrat, Republican, and
Independent who know that we can do better, and who are disappointed
in the politicians who have lost sight of our values. It's time to move
past the same Washington politics that leaves Nevada families behind."
"So in 2008, I find myself once again ready to answer the call from
Nevadans who deserve better. If we want to change Washington, we have
to change the people we send to Washington."
"So today, I announce my candidacy for Congress. I'm Jill Derby, and I'm back."
