Nevada Democrats use caucus to build first consistent voter average in 15 years.
Nevada Democrats leveraged excitement over the January 19th Presidential Caucus to double the Democratic voter registration advantage in the month of October, 2007. The party now holds an 8,600 voter registration advantage statewide, up from a 4,100 advantage in September. This is the first sustained voter registration advantage for Nevada Democrats in 15 years.
The party continues to build an advantage in key districts such as Congressional District 3, where the Democratic edge increased from 6,300 in September to 7,500 in October.
"Democrats have been building a majority in the state over the past several months, but October's voter registration numbers are a strong indication that Democrats in Nevada are truly energized for the Jan. 19th caucus." said Democratic Party Chair Jill Derby. "The excitement should be even greater after next week's nationally televised Democratic Presidential Debate in Las Vegas."
