Alignment announced from Nevada Democratic Convention (1:15 p.m., Saturday, May 17 — Reno, NV) The alignment of the Nevada Democratic Convention has been counted. A total of 2,510 delegates registered for the convention, and an initial alignment showed a 55 percent of the delegates supported Barack Obama and 45 percent supported Hillary Clinton.

Fulfilling Our Promises To Veterans

Democrats believe we need to support the troops while they are enlisted and honor our promises to them once they leave the service.

Nevada has one or the largest veterans populations in the country – 16 percent of our residents are veterans.

Our Democratic Congressional delegation recently helped pass the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Administration Appropriations Act , which will funnel $341 million to Nevada in order to facilitate the construction of a veterans’ hospital in Las Vegas.

Bush's disapproval rating worst of any president in 70 years

An article in the USA Today highlighted a recent USA Today/Gallup Poll that shows only 28% of Americans approving of the job George W. Bush is doing; 69% disapprove.

The author, Susan Page, also indicated that the disapproval rating is "the highest disapproval rating of any president in the 70-year history of the Gallup Poll."
